IceClean is a system created to help you solve maintenance and optimization problems using built-in Unix system tasks to help your Mac stay healthy and also to keep it running as smoothly as possible.
All UNIX systems (including Mac OS X) have a set of maintenance scripts that automatically run every day, week, and month. On old mainframes that were always left on these scripts were sure to run without fail, but on a Powerbook that’s on and off, open and closed, these scripts may miss their schedule. MacJanitor will run these scripts (manually) so you can be sure the maintenance gets done.

When you normally delete your files in Mac OS X, the operating system is only forgetting where those particular files are placed, while the data still physically remains on the drive. This utility overwrites your data thirty-five times, scrambles the original file name, and truncates the file size to nothing before Permanent Eraser finally unlinks it from the system. Once your data has been erased, it can no longer be read through traditional means.
SIMBL (Smart InputManager Bundle Loader) - pronounced like "symbol" or "cymbal" allows you to build hacks for Cocoa applications and apply the code selectively based on an application's unique identifier. It's not really all that clever, or even smart, but it's smarter than just blindly loading code into an application.
